I’m completing a Doctor of Creative Arts within the Writing and Society Research Group at the University of Western Sydney. The novel that I’m writing as part of my thesis was longlisted for the Mslexia Women’s Novel Competition (UK) in late 2011. I was also Highly Commended in the Qantas Spirit of Youth Awards (Written Word category) in 2012.

When I heard you ask Emily a question, I thought, “I know her! That’s Angela from Literary Minded!” I was going to walk off but I made myself stay. I finally convinced myself it was you.
